Dave Vout, the Managing Director of Stoke-on-Trent based Motorcycle Information System Technologies Ltd recently asked Siltint to create an antireflection coating for the screen on their recently developed motor cyclists head-up display.

The display sits inside the crash helmet and gives key information – including speed, gear in use and even sat-nav details without riders having to take their eyes off the road. It should provide a safety benefit to all bikers.

The antireflection coating allows the data to be seen clearly even in bright sunlight without distracting ghost images. It has the added benefit of a water and oil repellent top coat that allows water to roll off the surface as well as making it easier to clean.
